OVERVIEW

Forge
 
is 2D side scroller platformer game where you play as a blacksmith in search of the sacred forge. This project was developed during my 2nd Year in DigiPen with the use of our custom Engine called Forge Engine in a group of 8 consisting 5 programmers, 2 designer and 1 artist. Where I was in charge of the physics and gameplay.

GAMEPLAY
The main mechanics of this game was the ability to swap between forms to transverse around the map as for example heavy form cannot be knock back by the wind whereas light form can be knock by the wind direction

CHALLENGE FACE
The main challenges I've face was during the development of this project was making of the 2D custom physics and also team communication.
For 2D custom physics it was a first time for me which I went online to search for ways  and technique to better optimize the flow of the physics. Which communication issue with my graphics programmer as there were times where I have to touch his code cause of physics needing to link properly.

CONCLUSION
Overall I feel this project has help me learn a lot about communicating with larger team and custom physics. As having a bigger team could bring more opinions but at the same could bring in more conflicts between each other if everyone decides that their opinions are the best.
